History of Ferrari

Ferrari is a world famous brand founded by the legendary racing driver Enzo Ferrari. Initially, the company was called “Auto Avia Construzione”, and was founded before the start of the Second World War. However, the first car called Ferrari saw the light of day only in 1946. Outwardly, it looked like ordinary road cars, but under the hood was a 12-cylinder engine of incredible power, which turned it into a real car. A year later, the company produced already 2 types of engines for its cars, which won one race after another thanks to the design talents of Enzo and his subordinates.

Since 1951, Ferrari has been developing a line of prestigious cars. The first models received bodies of their own design, and why a partnership agreement was concluded with the Pininfarina studio, which became mutually beneficial and very durable.

Some Ferrari models were produced in very limited editions specifically for wealthy buyers. This made it possible to emphasize the elite status of the brand itself, adding prestige to even its most basic cars. So, only 14 cars Ferrari 410 Super America saw the light.

Ferrari Daytona appeared in 1968. Even today, it is among the fastest cars in the world, reaching up to 282 km / h thanks to its engine with a whopping 352 horsepower.

The Ferrari Dino was released in the early 1970s and became quite a long-lived model. It was produced in various modifications until 1980. It was named after the son of Enzo, who died in 1956. Around the same time, the Berlinetta Boxer was introduced, equipped with a 4.4-liter engine. Its production lasted from 1973 to 1976, after which it underwent a number of modifications, including a more powerful 4.9-liter engine. In 1984 it was replaced by another model. The Testarossa debuted at the Paris Motor Show as a two-seater sports car, and over the next 10 years it remained a trendy car, regularly receiving various updates. The latest version, released in 1994, had a top speed of 322 km / h, which was developed thanks to a 440-horsepower engine.

The legendary Ferrari F40 was released in 1987. This car is known for the fact that Enzo Ferrari himself had a hand in its development, completing his participation in the creation of cars. After 2 years, he died, and his company was bought from the heirs by the Fiat concern. However, the brand has escaped oblivion and has been carefully preserved.

The first Ferrari car with all-wheel drive was released in 2011. The FF model also had a roomy trunk and a full passenger compartment. It was a rather unusual update to the line of Ferrari cars, but at the same time retained the signature design features.

Today, Ferrari continues its successful activities as an elite brand under the wing of Fiat. The company’s cars are bought by wealthy and successful people from all over the world, and in addition, its cars are constantly among the leaders of the most popular Formula 1 racing series.

In 2013, the new flagship Frrari La Ferrari was presented. The car was distinguished not only by a bright, if not defiant design, but also by a number of heavy-duty innovative technical characteristics. Only very wealthy people can afford such a car.

The company has not forgotten to take care of the environment, the amount of CO2 emissions is minimal. In addition, the Frrari La Ferrari has two engines, the total power of which is almost 1000 horsepower, which is twice the performance of the famous Bugatti Veyron. In addition, the car is much lighter than the Enzo. This mobility was provided by four types of carbon fiber used for the body. And, of course, the seats are made for each owner separately, completely repeating its shape.
